BAJA EARTHQUAKE RISK

We are obsessed to a fault in protecting your Baja property ... and have done our research!

Did you know that:
    • The Baja Fault, which runs from the San Jose Del Cabo Airport towards La Paz, has been defined as “active” by a leading U.S. university professor
    • There were 16 recorded earthquakes in the Baja area in September, 2007 alone
    • Every homeowner’s policy ‘excludes’ earthquake and requires homeowners to “buy-back” the coverage
    • The 1994 earthquake in California was recorded at a magnitude of 6.7 on the Richter Scale and did $28 billion worth of property damage.  According to a new study released by U.S. Geological Survey Center on April 14, 2008, the chance of another 6.7 magnitude tremblor during the next 30 years is 97 percent in Southern California and 93 percent in Northern California.

The picture to the right depicts all seismic activity recorded since 1990 in and around the Sea of Cortez.

While most people concentrate on the San Andreas Fault (which runs along the ocean floor of the Sea of Cortez), a U.S. professor from a major university has published several reports on the active Cabo Fault that runs from the San Jose Del Cabo Airport bounding the east side of the Sierra Las Lagunas, then north across the San Juan de Los Planes to the Carrizal Fault west of La Paz.

While nearly every home in the 50 states is insured, insurance executives and government officials estimate that only about 10% or 20% of properties in the Baja region are covered.

This region is just as susceptible to "The Big One" ... whether it be destruction from a Category 4 or 5 hurricane, an earthquake or even a tsunami ... it only takes one catastrophic event to destroy your valuable property

There is earthquake risk in the Baja. Shouldn't you protect one of your most valuable assets?

You need state-of-the-art property coverage!

It's just that simple!
